Our mission isn't something that we cooked up on our own. It's been given to us by God. And that mission is to
be his redemptive presence wherever we're at, in whatever we're doing. To put it another way, God's called us to
be and live like Jesus not just in the safe confines of the church walls, but out and about in our homes,
neighborhoods, schools, the marketplace and across the world.

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
We are called to "loving our neighbor as ourselves". And so we are engaged in serving our neighbors in the
Tri-City area, with special attention to Newark.

We are part of the
CompassionNetwork, which is a collective of over 70 congregations in the Tri-City who have
joined together to serve the needs of the city. We have helped elderly neighbors clear their yards, given away
backpacks to students in need, served in senior homes, helped distribute fair trade products, etc.

We are also partner with
Viola Blythe Community Services, Newark's main food pantry. We've helped them
both with their food closet and holiday toy closet.

And we are also in the process of getting to know our immediate neighborhood better. Our hope is to be able to
serve our neighbors and to be a manifestation of God's love and peace in the neighborhood. Check out this

GLOBAL MISSIONS
Because God is bigger than any one locale, we are also engaged in cross-cultural missions.

Every year, Taiwanese school principals invite us and the local OMei church to lead English language and
character development camps for junior high and elementary students.

We also go to Tijuana, Mexico through
YUGO to help El Templo Peniel reach out to mothers and youth in their
community.
